Kathleen received a BFA in painting, from Wayne State University in Detroit, her home town. She left the mid-west, became a fine art photographer and spent the past 40yrs in San Francisco, working in the graphic arts.
She has shown her photographs in several exhibitions, but is now painting, using her photos as a base to go beyond the photo, using the image to reproduce a captured moment, maintaining the quality of light and
color which inspired the photo. Her paintings have been shown in San Francisco galleries. Several are in private collections in the Bay Area and Michigan.
Kathleen has completed painting workshops in Greece and three in Tuscany. She traveled to Santa Fe to paint twice, before moving here in September of 2022. She continues to sturdy the landscape, light and spirit of New Mexico.
